Evidence-based therapy designed to help you reflect, connect, and grow.
I started Sanara Therapy with one goal, to make therapy feel human, not clinical. As a South Asian therapist who has trained and practiced globally, I’ve seen how stigma and silence often hold people back from seeking help. My hope is to change that by creating a warm, culturally sensitive space where healing feels approachable and deeply personal.
As a New York licensed therapist with over 3,800 clinical hours and advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients understand patterns, manage emotions, and foster lasting growth. I believe deeply in each person’s capacity to heal and grow with the right support.

Fill out a short form to schedule your consultation, it helps me understand your needs so our first conversation feels comfortable and personalized.
In this 15-minute call, we’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, what you hope to work on, and the support you need. I’ll also share how I work and help you see if we’re a good fit.
Your first 45-minute session is a space to settle in, feel comfortable, and start unpacking what’s on your mind. As we continue, we’ll find your rhythm, set goals, and build supportive tools.
Each 45-minute session is a space to pause, process, and work through what’s been weighing on you whether that’s anxiety, self-doubt, overthinking, or feeling disconnected. Sessions balance reflection with structure so you leave feeling understood and equipped with tools you can use in daily life.
My work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – a structured, evidence-based approach that helps you understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors connect. For example, if you often spiral into “what ifs” or harsh self-talk, CBT helps you notice and shift those patterns toward calmer, more balanced responses.
I’m also a strengths-based and compassion-focused therapist, which means my goal is to help you start seeing yourself in the light of who you’ve always wanted to be by drawing on your existing strengths and building on them.
Lastly, I bring in tools from DBT and mindfulness to help you manage emotions, stay present, and feel more connected to yourself. So therapy isn’t just about insight, but real shifts in how you live and feel every day.
Therapy might be a good fit if you’ve been feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or repeating old patterns you can’t quite shift. You don’t need to be in crisis – many clients come in simply wanting to feel more grounded, confident, or at peace.
As a goal-oriented therapist, we’ll set clear goals at the start and check in every few months to see how you’re progressing. Progress can look like being less reactive, feeling calmer, setting boundaries, or showing yourself more compassion.
You don’t need to prepare for your first session. It’s normal to feel a little nervous or unsure about where to start. The first couple of sessions are about helping you feel comfortable, understood, and safe in the space – not about rushing into “fixing” things.
Something important to know about how I work: this isn’t a space with hierarchy or judgment. Therapy with me is fully collaborative, we’re a team. The goal is for you to trust the process, feel seen, and eventually look forward to this space every week. Once you feel settled, that’s when the real work begins.
Fees vary depending on your location and payment method. Your specific rate will be shared after your initial consultation call, once I know where you’re based and what format (in-person or online) you’ll be using.
Yes, I offer both in-person sessions in Chennai and virtual sessions worldwide. Online therapy can be just as effective as in-person work – it offers flexibility, privacy, and comfort, especially if you travel often or prefer connecting from home.
It varies for everyone. Some clients come for a few months to work through specific concerns, while others continue longer for deeper emotional work. We’ll review your goals regularly so therapy always feels purposeful and aligned with where you are.
Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy. Everything you share stays private, except in rare situations involving safety or legal obligations (which we’ll discuss clearly in your first session).
